Iran Nuances has learned that the foreign ministers of seven Persian Gulf countries—including the members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Iran—are set to hold a historic joint meeting in Doha. This marks the first collective meeting at the foreign minister level among these nations.
The meeting will focus on regional cooperation, neighborhood policies, and efforts to maintain and ensure peace and stability in the region. Discussions will aim at promoting development and growth among the countries and fostering dialogue within the region.
It is anticipated that regional developments—including the situations in Palestine and Lebanon, as well as actions by Israel that have heightened tensions—will be on the agenda.
The convening of this meeting represents an important and significant step toward enhancing cooperation between Iran and the Persian Gulf countries.
This development coincides with the Iranian President’s official visit to Qatar, where he is scheduled to attend and deliver a speech at the summit of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) summit on Thursday. The meeting of the foreign ministers of Iran and the six Persian Gulf countries will be held on the sidelines of this forum.
